Thank you for your suggestion, I would be honoured for you to show my contribution to Edward. As a matter of fact I would like to organise a National Simplicuity Campaign. I am a simpleton in the best meaning of that term: I live a simple life, have no funds or time to create it. I could do with some help to make it a reality. I'm sure Edward will remember when he suggested for me to contact Max Dumais in 1999.
Kind regards
Frans
It was a nice surprise to find 'The de Bono Society: Up and Running'! in my mail box this morning. The video on signing up was of great help in getting ready before the event.
The other video, on 'Enter our Competition' does not appear at all, yet. It is a Duplicate sign up help. Audio level in the video is low as seen by my system. That is not a complaint, just a comment.
Now I'm looking forward to joining in and forwarding the news to organisations that may appreciate it. Seeing the media available is intriguing; de Bono sites have been txt only so far — as I see the world in ESP; pictures; video; doing things: txt always left me out.
Thanks for the welcome Linda. I wasn't intending to be an active blogger on the site, more an observer of brilliant minds as a reminder to apply the techniques and add more creativity to my world.
Thanks for the reply and the offer. For the time being, I will continue to learn via books and the internet. (I have a copy of "de Bono's Thinking Course", Revised Edition.)
I did notice that CoRT 4 - Creativity includes some lateral thinking ... http://www.edwdebono.com/debono/cort14.htm
So is there a description elsewhere of what the more focused Lateral Thinking entails.
Thanks for your welcome as well. Do you know if there are any DeBono resources that clearly distinguish Perceptual, Creative, Design and Lateral Thinking?
Correction: In order to receive notifications of updates to this site through RSS I think you add the 'Latest activity' box to the front page. This box has an RSS feed at the bottom (maybe not visible until before there's been any (new) activity). It can be added through 'Manage', then 'Features', then add 'Latest Activity'.
I have added a post in the forum ("90% of mistakes (...)") but had to put in one of the two categories that existed ('Education' or '..podcast...'). But none of them is appropriate for my post, so could you create a 'miscellaneous' category or something?
Thank you for your message, I join the de Bono Society to keep in touch with others who are interested in de bono methods. I am very busy at the moment, hope to do more in the future.
