Thank you Phil for your welcoming remarks. I have been training Six Thinking Hats and Lateral Thinking in China for the past three years and have enjoyed very much of these systematic and disciplined thinking tools. In China we need them badly to guide decision-making and designing of products and processes. I am looking forward to sharing and exchanging insights with colleagues and friends here.

Hi Phil

Thanks for your comments. Did i do something wrong with my photo? Or is it just a bad photo?

Looking back in hindsight it does look a bit like a mug shot lol.

Hello Phil, thanks for your warm welcome. I am wondering how can I get a certified training on Mr. De Bono´s techniques, it can be either in US or UK.
Your recomendation will be warmly appreciated.

Thanks a lot. I am recent turned De Bono fan, just two days old, and I think these ideas are treasures that I need to get conversant with.

Thanks for the Welcome

Hi Phil,
Thanks for the welcome.
Since about 1985 I've hugely benefited from de Bono's books and ideas.
Example: My very detailed year plan is based on the CoRT (Section 6, 'Action')
Enjoyed your little vid on OPV, esp. the joke about kids carrying swap cards of politicians round if the politicians used OPV exercises to help them govern.
By the way, if you haven't already, have a look at the Singularity University website. The ideas there are a magnificent other direction in which the world is going - very rapidly. I suspect that SU might even consider taking up de Bono projects if asked. (Their rule for acceptance/support of a project is that the proposal must credibly be expected to influence more than a billion people beneficially, and preferably be exponentially-growing.

Thanks again,

Hi Phil,
It is a great idea but unfortunately we moved away from Melbourne in January this year and would not be able to attend a party - unless it were a virtual online one!

Thank you for the welcome message, Phil. Although I regret that I wasn't able to attend that get together in Malta, I am flattered to have been considered a creation of Edward's imagination.

The Creative Team, in its first incarnation, had a lot of potential. I am proud of what we did from 1997 to 1999, but wish that it could have been taken further. Perhaps, twelve years later, it is an idea that could be developed in new ways.

At the moment, I am reading myself in to this system - going over the groups and individual members' Blogs. When I have done that, I hope that I can contribute, to the best of my ability.

Thank you- now I am extending the Septoes to 100. I like very much this literary genere created by Edward de Bono- I don't understand why it did not became more popular As haikus for example..
The septoes have a high informational density, ideas/words.
I am very much interested to know your and other colleagues' opinion about my problem solving system. my modes of thinking and about the idea of Bisinisencephalia. I really need the help of this elite Group of Thinkers.

Excuse me- the address was shortened erronously. It is at http://egooutpeters.blogspot.com/2011/04/first-project-completed-77-septoes.html

I also hope you will like: http://egooutpeters.blogspot.com/2011/06/all-my-rules-of-problem-solving.html- it has to be taught in the school!

Best wishes

Ah Phil - you have put up one of my most fave db quotable quotes - well more than a quotable quote ...  "today is a better day" is a philosophical wonder - thank you for reminding me that I have to say "today is a better day" tomorrow! regards Ali

Congrats on winning the competition! Are you going to get to meet Dr. de Bono when he's in Sydney in May? Tell me all about it! What are you going to ask him about?

Hi Phil, yes, I'm leaving this coming Wednesday, if everything works out. Am now busy getting ready to go. I'll drop in here from time to time, but not regularly as I'll be using public computers without much time available.
I'm not sure what you're asking me for, to leave you with some parting shot. What would you suggest?

The "Ithaca Hours" currency is still going in Ithaca NY. That town has the most successful town currency experiment going since 1991. My own town was too small to support it over time - only 1800 people. But it was certainly a fun thing to try to make it fly and I recommend it as an activity. You can search the examples of how different towns have made this idea work... it's quite fascinating.
