Individual seats are lined up on a side track on the platform. People buckle in to these seats in advance of the train coming. When the train approaches the station, it doesn't stop: it slows. The extra seats are automatically loaded on to the incoming train.

Hi !

A train that never stops...

How do I replace the pilot of the train?

Result of provocation; movement

-If two parallel one beside the other at the same speed. This left the opportunity to passengers change train. This second train if that stop at stations. All passengers and the pilot can download and upload of a train that never stops-

Naturally need design a platform to not change train jumping. But the concept is good. This is a side activity. Between trains in parallel. Adjusted to the essence of Edward De Bono.

Even power up or down the train.

Best regards

PO is Edward's tool I love love the most ... so I always jump at the chance to PO ... thanks for the chance to PO Gijs! ... over the past three years I have also been diligent at building my skill with FOCUS in order to be very clear and precise about where (Area Focus) or why/what I want to achieve with my thinking (Purpose Focus) so I'm interested in your PO for trains .. am I getting it right to assume this is an Area Focus ... that is can I start my thinking by saying: I want broad and adventurous ideas in the area of trains .. if so here's my thinking in this area:

Moment to moment wth PO: a train that never stops

the train barrels down the tracks and runs out of railway line, dashes forward into the sky and keeps on going out into the universe

Ideas:

an application for iPhone where you can access the timetable for every trainline in the world

trains that run past you as express trains have a sign you can read on the side telling you when the next train that' going to stop at the station is coming

when you are in a train and you pass a station you have an application on your iphone that gives you lots of information about the town/village/place you are passing

an iphone application tells you who is on the train you are traveling on so you can go and meet them - make friends with them

a train social network - everyone who travels at the same time to and from work each day has an on-line social network website

people only go on trains to meet other people

as people come off trains at a station there is a host or hostess that greets them and welcomes them to the city/village/town/place

slow trains for people who just want to talk to each other - only a few passengers are let on - the passengers don't care where they are going - they are there to make friends and meet other people

Moment to Moment Movement Technique for "PO" a train that never stops.

I see a train in continuous motion--the tracks are powering the train; there are no railway sidings for trains to pull over and wait; the repair shop is always empty because the train never breaks down; the conductor isn't announcing next stops; the conductor is like a tour guide giving a running commentary on the places whizzing by; the train is filled with people who want to escape the stress of daily life; the train has no brakes and can't stop for cars stuck on the tracks at railway crossings.

Resulting Ideas:
Railway crossings could be designed to automatically send a warning signal to oncoming trains--slow down, prepare to stop--there is an object on the railway crossing. This warning system would kick in once an object has been on the crossing for a set period of time.

There could be a railway car designated as a special interest car. You would pay a small fee to enter and could then attend a lecture, for example.

Train journeys could be set up to promote different interests: the Rhythm and Blues run from Chicago to New Orleans is one example.

What additional ideas do you have to add?

Engineers, by the nature, gain respect by coming up with brilliant and elegant solutions. The title of "engineer" is the humble man's version that is actually closer to "brilliant creative thinker." Then, someone who designs ways through and assembles all those factors into new packages deserves the title of "inventor."

From being an "engineer's" daughter... (the humble person's version of "inventor,") I learned creative and practical thinking skills without even having a name for what I was doing. I learned it by modeling behavior, soaking up the processes of my parent's thinking by direct example.

It sure did confuse people when I would trot out the results of my thinking. They had no idea what I was doing, so they assigned all sorts of unsavory motives to my actions. Learning de Bono thinking tools gave me a way to describe to others what I was already doing, as well as a way to invite their participation. Hallelujah!
