Po: Exercises

Dear De Bono's community of thinkers

I'd like to present you the exercises I just completed on Po, from the book 'Teach your child how to think' page 198.

Because the next step is MOVEMENT, first i'd like you all could choose (or add) some of these provocations that seem the most provocative. Because they meant to be.

After this exercise, I would like to learn more about MOVEMENT and how to go from the Po to an actual new idea.

1. Set up "escape type provocations" for each one of the following items:

1.1 Bicycle:
1.1.1 Po bicycles ride on water
1.1.2 ...move vertically
1.1.3 ...can climb
1.1.4 ...pull a bus
1.1.5 ...survive a crash test

1.2 Library:
1.2.1 Po libraries hold a party
1.2.2 ...burn books
1.2.3 ...use books as wall paper
1.2.4 ...no one can read
1.2.5 ...allow animals in
1.2.6 ...read underwater books
1.2.7 ...float

1.3 Lift (Elevator):
1.3.1 Po lifts go sidewise
1.3.2 ...move a house or a building
1.3.3 ...can fly
1.3.4 ...move once only
1.3.5 ... don't have doors
1.3.6 ...go to the centre of the Earth
1.3.7... go to the moon

1.4 Birthday:
1.4.1 Po birthday + 9 month
1.4.2 ... visiting ovaries
1.4.3 ... mourning millions of dear spermatozoids.
1.4.4 ... take a picture with brothers spermatozoids
1.4.5 ... visit back home in dad's prostate (

1.5 House:
1.5.1 Po house float
1.5.2 ... don't have roof
1.5.3 ... only have doors
1.5.4 ... have 2.5 floors
1.5.5 ... have no walls

1.6 Tennis:
1.6.1 Po tennis raining balls
1.6.2 ... the net moves to block the moving ball
1.6.3 ... the net reflects back the ball (like a mirror)
1.6.4 ... the ball does not move
1.6.5 ...the ball has a mind of his own
1.6.6 ... hammers are used as rackets

2. Set up "reversal type provocations" for each one of the following items:

2.1 Collecting money for charity (cmc)
2.1.1 Po cmc people in need collect money for the rich
2.1.2 Po cmc people in need has to pay it back
2.1.3 Po cmc monopoly bills can be traded
2.1.4 Po cmc use trees and plants as currency

2.2 Choosing a career (cac)
2.2.1 Po cac career chooses you
2.2.2 Po cac employers design DNA of their staff
2.2.3 Po cac everyone has 10 different careers
2.2.4 Po cac you trade, learn, change careers via software implanting/programming in your head.

2.3 Friendship
2.3.1 Po friendship requires a contract
2.3.2 Po friendship you pay if you don't like your friend
2.3.3 Po friendship you pay double to renew the contract

2.4 Watching TV
