Hello,
New to this site, so I beg your pardon if this is intrusive or against policy, but I thought you might be interested to know that an implementation of the L Game is available for iPhone, iPad & iPod touch.
I started playing the game as a high school student in the 70's (after reading the '5-Day Course in Thinking'), and have long wanted to write a computer version. Finally touchscreen devices made it just so easy to play, I couldn't resist.
Enjoy!

Comment by Anthony Scott on September 17, 2012 at 20:53 Hi, Dennis... thanks for the comments again (and the info about the customer review - I don't see any reviews either on the web page or in the iTunes store??). The app has had almost no visibility, because it hasn't been marketed - but I'm not really looking to make a million from it, no illusions there. It was an excercise in getting to know the iStore while having fun with a game I played as a kid, and maybe encountering some other folks who remember it. Still, it has had sales in a dozen countries. There must be de Bono fans in Turkey... :-)
Working now on writing & publishing hybrid kids' books/game apps, and the first should launch before year-end. Much more interesting.
Thanks again for taking the time to write.

Comment by Anthony Scott on September 17, 2012 at 15:58 Hi, Adonis & Dennis... thanks for the comments, and here's the scoop on the copyright:
Over a year ago (April 2011) I mailed Dr de Bono to obtain his consent, and his P.A. (Paddy Hills) referred me to someone named Amanda Mobbs. A few months ago ms. Mobbs and I came to an agreement in terms of which she offered to supply a contract. Subsequent to that she has gone quiet and the contract has not transpired.
In the meantime I had submitted the app to Apple, in good faith, to get it through the technical approval process, and that is where we stand now. I have waited until now to do any promotion of the game whatsoever.
I must add that I approached Dr de Bono as a gesture of honesty and good will, despite the fact that, as far as I can tell, the game is not protected by any existing legislation. There is a patent for the Three Spot game and one for a 'Siamese Case' for playing two games, but I can find none for the L Game - and copyright protection does not extend to game rules. There are already two L game implementations on the Internet.
I have the best of intentions with regard to this, but appear to have been blocked despite an agreement being reached.
Cheers,
Tony
