How to Create an Internet Troll

One way of gaining insight into a problem is to explore it from another angle. Today, internet trolls are often a problem but what are the best ways to create a good troll. Have some fun and imagine ways to ensure that the trolls are here to stay.

The article also explores the idea that you may mistake a troll for someone who has a good point but bad manners.

Comment by Charlotte Fairchild on July 16, 2012 at 22:08: I do want to say that as in most psychology classes where we look at pathology or illness, recognizing that there is some relationship intrinsic to each personality (a superior personality of being above reproach aside) which allows the trollness of our being to resonate can make many of us if not all of us at times wonder, "Am I THE troll?" Sort of like the "Is it me Lord?" of the last supper event with Jesus being rejected by someone. I was surprised by the vehemence of my alignment to Gnomes by friends the other day when I mentioned how like a gnome I considered myself. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0810950170/ref=dp_olp_used?i... This is a lovely velvet book that is quite attractive and includes music and short tales for nightly readings, including a harp. How shocked I was at the response of others.

I had a favorite series when I worked with foster children 30 years ago by Irene Keller and Dick Keller called the Thingamajig book of safety and the Thingamajig book of manners and perhaps another book by them. These are all highly disgusting and enjoyable to read. I have seen many small children pick a nose and worse, as an example. It is akin to the "Puppy dog tails" etc. of what little boys are made of, as opposed to the silly rendering of how pleasing little girl children are. I knew one little girl who stopped spreading feces on the walls when she was given play dough. Her start in life was quite tragic and I hope sincerely she found a more wonderful setting to flourish than the neglect she was born to before I met her.

A troll is self-centered without considering others. . . they do not think before the POUNCE;-) I think you do;-)
