Has anyone written a program that lets the user write a flowscape?

What I imagine is I start entering a stream of consciousness list. The program would create a list.

A Happiness Purpose
B Demand Space Care
C Self Space Care

I would tell the program I had finished entering my list.
It would them produce a table that I could then fill in with the other letters

A Happiness Purpose B
B Demand Space Care C
C Self Space Care D

At the end of this task The program would the draw the chart

It would be useful to be able to drill down to a different level with in a given idea.

The program would behave in ways that are similar to “mind mapping “ programs that have been published.

Hi Dennis and Peter - re a software program for flowscapes - interesting idea - for my PHD work I have am currently completing a small research project where I have colllected 66 flowscapes from 34 business owners/managers. The question I asked them was "what happens when you use Lateral Thinking" - they have all been trained in the 2 day de Bono Systems Lateral Thinking course, some have used Lateral Thinking tools for some years ... well I would have loved a software program to get all of these flowscapes diagramed in a few minutes! However in regards to actually doing a flowscape I have some reservations about people typing their flowscapes - pencil and paper is not only quick I think there is a different pace to the thinking and a different cognitive feedback process when people are handwriting rather than typing ... not sure if this is just my Red Hat 'cos I didnt grow up with computers... or whether there is something more valuable in hand writing one's thinking rather than typing it ... from experience I do think people learn Edward's thinking tools better if they handwrite their thoughts into 'thinking journals' ... hmmm any comments?

Ah! Yet another instance where it is more trouble to power up and maintain the computer, etc. than to use the "archaic" and more simple ways. Obviously, fax machines are an example of this that are good enough for rock and roll for decades now. For other situations where you want to import your scribbles into a computer, there's an digital pen that works like a tablet & mouse for only twenty bucks.
