Edward de Bono launches online competition to find his greatest students

Celebrating 2009 - the European Year of Creativity & Innovation along with the launch of his new website, one of the world's top thinkers, Dr. Edward de Bono has launched a global search to find the most creative people.

All creative thinkers are being called on to submit personal stories illustrating how application of de Bono's methods can lead to success.

The competition will be judged by Edward de Bono himself.

Along with having their ideas showcased to Edward de Bono followers across the world, the 10 selected entrants will also be given the opportunity to meet Edward de Bono in person.

This competition is open to anyone who is interested in innovation and creativity, not just trainers.

Edward has extended the deadline to the end of the year, thats the 31st December 2009,
this should give you plenty of time to get your stories in.

The parameters are:

1.The story should be about creativity in action either from yourself
2.or someone else you can vouch for.
3.It must me a two page summary, no longer.

I hope this answers all your queries. Should you have anymore queries direct them to my page on the debonosociety.com

Regards

Linda Laird
(on behalf of Edward)

Good luck!

I'm looking forward to finding out who are the winners of this competition from their entries here.

Great idea to meet the other winners, Giedrius. Maybe part of the prize could be that they could all be on a conference call or an ongoing Google wave conversation together?

I like my old friend Einstein :) he use to say "You can't solve problem using the same thinking you create it"
I have read about mr. Edward de Bono a lot. In this case would be more fun to meet other winners and to know them better.
dBT make some changes in my daily live. I work in school as Effective center as coordinator and project manager. We implementing CoRT1 into teaching curriculum. It takes time and affords, but I'm happy for what I am doing. Work with dBT gives a great challenge to grow for myself :) Hi to everybody from this society!!!

Serious Creativity - your work of last decade made me a serious creator in a country so deviod of creativity and innovation. Your work on lateral thinking forced me and guided me to think fresh, think different and think real. I have acknowledged your contributions in getting my first book published in 2007.

Today when I get opportunity to join in this group and read through this competition, I am again very optimistic of new begining, new innovation and great creation. I firmly acknowledge your contribution in me making.

Thank you for helping the people beyond boundaries. Regards.

all lateral thinkers are teachers, they just have to lean the value of timing. i have been one all my life and followed a path of solving concerns both human and mechanical, i am not much of i type'r though but i am solving that right now. hello Team.

Did you get an answer to your questions about whether you need to be a trainer to participate. I'm confident that you do not. Why are not more people entering this wonderful contest? What could help us encourage more entries?

If 'success' could be defined in this context, it might make the process easier - What are the parameters?

It would be great if the competition is open to non trainers as it gives all of us other thinkers a chance to use this as a great challenge to still bring to life new success stories. Personally i am not a trainer but would love to meet Edward in person so this is a real opportunity.

Does one need to be a licensed de Bono THINK trainer to take part in the competition ?
