Who is it?. What do you know about him?. Meet some anecdote of him?. Know him in person?. Feel free to talk about it.
A kind of biography about all the information we know about him. His journey, their problems, their day to day, its present, its new projects, his childhood ... Everything!. From the point of view of his followers.

I had lunch with Edward last month when he was back in Sydney. Fortunately, E is often in Oz, so that helps. The art of getting to see him (for nothing) involves finding out his itinerary from Linda and noting when next he is due to get off a plane somewhere near the town where you live.
Given that E lives most of his life at 37,000 ft and once travelled so extensively in one year that he calculated it would have come to 7 circumnavigations of the globe, the possibility that he might arrive in your town sometime soon is a definite non-zero possibility, so be watchful.
If he is vaguely aware of who you are from this website, then he may be happy to do coffee or lunch on the hop in between meetings. You then slide a copy of your book under his nose and he knows what to do from there. E does enjoy meeting his fans.
I said to him "Edward, I may not be your best student, but I sure as hell am your biggest fan!" He grinned and said "That's even better!"

Comment by jf on May 5, 2012 at 14:37 Thanks Phil !, for sharing this chapter with the other members ..
The origin of his interest in thinking are his own words:
My own entry into the subject of thought derived directly from my work in medicine with the most complex interactive systems (glands, kidneys, respiration, circulation) and the need to develop concepts of self-organizing information systems.
This led to the consideration of behavior in neural networks (see my book "mechanism of the mind").
Hence my interest led creative thinking and development of lateral thought processes. This, in turn, led me to the importance of perceptions and concepts, and finally, to realize that the traditional thinking was not as complete nor as perfect as I had supposed.
(from the book Parallel Thought).
Comment by Phil Bachmann on May 5, 2012 at 5:02 I was in Geraldton when Edward was crowned King of Geraldton for a week, and I remember several particularly impressive moments:
One where someone from the audience complained that Australian women were getting too pushy. He reminded the audience that "Behind every successful man is a good woman. And behind her is a surprised mother in law."
There was also a business meeting where they talked about how to get more tourists to the region. Edward suggested that since this was Western Australia and since there was a lot of space - they should market the region as the "Wide West".
He explained, "It sounds like 'Wild West, but isn't!"
Comment by jf on May 4, 2012 at 16:10 Some curiosities;
Kim says;
1. Is often mistaken for a psychologist by journalists but is in fact a software designer for the mind.
2. Spends most of his life at 37,000 ft above humanity and has never been involved in a plane incident or accident.
3. Now owns castle in France, Château du Planty.
I say;
1. Present it here in Spain as a world authority of thought, Doctor or Guru.
2. If fly much, why not buy a private plane, right?.
3. I have understood that one of his dreams was to create a palace of thought. . What happened with this idea?.
Comment by jf on May 4, 2012 at 15:52 But Edward de Bono, has opposed not only to social networks. He seems to like to walk in contradiction with the trends. Let's see how it ranks against other media like TV to radio.
To Edward de Bono, radio is the media more honest because you can hear the voice of respondents and "hear them say what they have to say," as stated in an interview with the media Horizont. He adds, "radio journalists usually have more experience than television presenters. Presenters are usually about self-centered to those who are most concerned about is looking good. "
According to De Bono, television is "the least honest of all." He claims that journalists often have preconceived ideas of the subjects investigated, and it is not the case, "the top of a journalist can change the orientation of an article with a headline".
But this expert admits that television is the medium "that is more likely to be creative. Still, radio advertising works better than on TV. "Recounts an experiment in which 20 people sat in front of a television and 20 others behind him. When the test completes, the researchers asked the subjects what they can remember of the issue. "The people who sat in front of the TV all agree on a Scandal, with all kinds of graphics. The people behind the TV also remember this, but remember more information on rising prices. Had eclipsed the visual content so that the real message is received minimally, "says de Bono.
Comment by jf on May 4, 2012 at 15:43 Yes Kim, already discussed at some time in this society, the position of Edward de bono in opposed the social networks. I still do not understand at all, although reading some things I can get an idea of that is attitude. Here is a fragment;
-"I see great possibilities in the social use of technology, but everything happens first by the need of new ideas, then the technology will come to support it. Technology can bear it and serve it, but by itself does not invent anything.
Sometimes the technology allows us to continue with old and inefficient ideas that have to be changed. Technology is a tool that enables us to put ideas into action.
There is a real need to develop ideas directly and then see how technology can make possible the development of these. This is totally different to be waiting for the technology that first design ideas"-.
Comment by jf on May 4, 2012 at 15:32 Adonis Thank you for the reference book. I will try to access that book, although it may not available in my language. The other book I comment, "tactics" if I had the pleasure of reading it and have it in my hands, is available in the library of my people..
But the official biographies, usually have been reviewed by the main characters, and are subject to not say anything negative. I realize it's pretty easy to tap into the biography of Edward de Bono, in internet or at many of his books are published. But the idea of this blog, is to access the view "unofficial" the people who know him.
