Some people believe words have a firm, factual reality in themselves. They think words "mean what they mean." But this is not true. Words shift and flicker depending on context and expression, just as symbols do. This is what makes poetry and the symbols of religion and belief interesting.

Many people have an ability to think, but their ability to express their thinking may not reach the listener or reader for many mutual reasons. The topic or context may be incomplete or indistinct. Or the communicator's natural style of thinking may be so different from our own that it is difficult to figure out the communicator's intent. What is their associative pathway from point to point and how can I follow? It may be tricky to follow thinking paths - especially if thinking is original thinking.

In this way creative thinking is similar to religion - in that it must be interpreted for the listener.

So often religious bureaucracy seems to want to control how people think because they invest in being the interpreter for the public of their respective "holy scripture." Religious leaders want to be the ONLY interpreter for the believers, claiming "all others are wrong or evil."

Each time they read or listen, each person is reconstructing meaning from reading what someone else has written or said. Someone who has written is pointing at...something about what they intend to say. Their skill and familiarity with their language use is a factor, in addition to their ability to think - but also their ability to articulate and guess at the assumptions of their listener. They try to answer the virtual question: "What would the listener want to know?"

It is up the person listening or reading to fill in the blanks, follow the traces or indicators while the listener reconstructs the thinking pathways of the communicator. In this way, listening is almost a spiritual practice. It is a spiritual question when a person seeks a way to express that which cannot be directly expressed. Spiritual, intuitive, or virtual questions often beg for symbols and indirect ways to express their messages and intent.

Juan,
As a scientist, I am making explanations to the physical worlds everyday. Many people are doing the same thing. Reseach results are growing exponentially. We call a subject science just because we use scientific method, which is simply done by observing the physical world, developing hypothesis, finding proofs, forming theory, and continual improve the theory (or disapprove).
But scientific approach does not help us to develop values. One example is this society would accept "thinking would generate results and values for mankind". It is possible to explain the thinking process, but scientific approach cannot help us to link to the value.
For religions, I do not see the need to find ways to make scientific explanations. It is simply "believe", then accept the values and implement the values in life.
Many stories in regions can be treated as outdated with current scientific explanations, but I would also say many current science will be treated outdated 2 years later. No need to use current scientific explanations to discredit regions.

By the way, Wilfred, Science is not logic. Logic is more fundamental than scientific approach. Religion involves a lot of logic.

Hi!

This article seems interesting;

The neurotheology is a new branch of science that promises to interesting discoveries. Developed from the latest technologies, allowing to explore the activity of the brain functioning, has shown, for example, meditation and prayer can modify the structure of the brain.

The researchers found that at the Summit of prayer, both groups of meditadores experienced an increase of blood flow in the frontal lobes of the brain, and a decrease of blood flow in the parietal lobes.

On the other hand, during an experience of transcendence, the brains of the monks showed a high degree of blood flow in the areas of the brain related to attention, but a low degree of fluids in the neural areas that connect the mind with the body.

This method of study of religious experience allowed understand subjective States of consciousness through brain activity. Therefore, connected the spiritual experience with Neurology.

Possibilities This decline in activity in the parietal lobes causes abnormal spatial insights and the loss of the usual sense of self that is in a State of wakefulness. In that time when enables the so called mystical experience, which is what allows a subject to transcend their individual identity and identify with all supposed underpins the known physical universe.

On the other hand, research by Richard Davidson, of the University of Wisconsin, with Tibetan monks also demonstrated that these people electroencephalograms patterns showed higher levels of gamma waves during periods of meditation, and even after they.

These investigations have shown that there would be both a pattern of brain behavior spiritual experiences. The question would be as follows: if known artificial methods to make those same religious experiences and know the effect of such methods in the brain, we can one day integrate artificial these experiences into our lives?

According to John Horgan, the neuroteólogos could soon find a definitive technology allow us to develop the feeling of transcendence or permanently spirituality and without side effects.

The neurotheology now investigates whether it is possible to integrate artificial religious experiences into our lives

The debate

"The conclusion... is that there is no way to determine if the neurological changes associated with a spiritual experience mean that the brain is causing the experience... or, rather, is receiving a spiritual reality."

If you perceive a spiritual reality, we can say in terms of evolution: the universe has evolved over thousands of years to occur in the brain the instrument that enables humans to sense the presence of God, that was always there, although in a way not detectable consciously. The existence of this "point God" represents an evolutionary advantage of our homo species.

While not itself a point that latest research shows that they involved several regions and neural systems.

In other words; create brain connections the idea of God or was God who created these connections so that we may communicate with him?

It is again "believe". If "believe" in God, new idea comes from God's inspiration. Even after we can well explain how we think, it is still valid to say God created the physical world and through it inspires us.

Similarly, people can also believe in "science". We use scientific method to understand the physical world. But using scientific method does not mean we need to believe in "science".

Inspiring to use images!
There is a TED talk from the woman who wrote Eat, Pray, Love - about where inspiration used to come from - God.
http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/elizabeth_gilbert_on_genius.html
Glibert says this is where many misconception about creativity makes people a little loco. Previously, if inspiration did not come, it was not "your fault". It was "God's fault" for not "gracing you" with brilliance. Inspiration as an independent thought coming from a single person's invention is a "new" concept.
Then along comes de Bono and says - creative inspiration can be learned - indirectly. Now it is humankind's responsibility to be smarter - to educate oneself.

This is an awesome responsibility, when you think of it!

Hi !

Apologize for lack of understanding.
Try to understand using images.

The religion is based its basis the inspiration. The inspiration isn't proven cientificamente. Its action is just experienced. Often in a State of trance can be the belief that there be more hablandote.Estudien the Neuroteologia.

The inspiration assigned the means by which God communicated with believers. It is not visible, cannot touch. The inspiration is not provable. It is only experienced. Some assigned a gift from God. For other consisted in an angel de la guarda.

We know that the recent discoveries about the mind were not known by our ancestors. That is, they could not have read the book the nature of the mind of Edward De Bono.

The Edward De Bono mentions that the mechanism of the lateral thinking exist before you discover Edward De Bono.
Your fabulous work consist of identifying, formalize and relaccionar with self-organizing systems.

Now I send a provocation, PO;

The inspiration is lateral thinking

If the reply is Yes, the source of much of the current beliefs is;

-Creativity.
-The restructuring of models.
-The Lateral thinking.

Look at the issue positively. In the end achieve a logica. A source of inspiration side.

Saludos !

God is a creative process, not had name to put to such process, and christened it by God, asignandole all those phenomena escaping human power.??

Jesus realized this, and why spoke with authority, that the other had a belief wrapped in falsehoods which fought in not disprove, therefore were hipocritas to keep them. ??

Hi!

Oh Franis.Yo ask forgiveness, use a translator and sometimes is not 100% effective. Generation of confusion.

Not bad. I will try to better explain my point.

At the beginning of the message my comment. I thank you all for sharing their views and participate with your opinions.
Thank you again.

Later, I note that utlizaron De Bono, PMI tools... etc. To comment on the religion and the Church. Excellent.

Then, submit a question;

Imagine that in antiquity there be a divine power, a God. All have been invented by technical creative.

But as unconscious, who does not know the work of Edward de Bono, nor know the nature of the mind.

For this reason of no knowledge as we present if we understand. Called the inspiration, God.

Thought it was an outer being, and Almighty. But all can be the phenomenon of restructuring of models.

The question is, behind the Jewish, faith exist a God or a creative faculty?

Best regards
