Working with others

It seems to me that many people are limited to two modes of operating:

 

1: Do what I'm told.

2: Do what I feel like.

 

It seems to me that there needs to be a third mode:

 

3: Interact with others to quickly and effeciently explore individual values and ambitions and collaboratively design a solution that best suits all.

 

I need to think of some activities that youngsters can do to get good at Mode 3.
