Dr. De Bono's techniques in the virtual world of Second Life

Maybe not understand my language that I use a translator to translate the text into a language that can be understood, because I only know the Spanish

I apologize

This is my proposal for the competition, I hope you like Dr. De Bono.

Suggests that they may use the virtual world of Second Life, to convey the teachings of Dr. De Bono, very creative. It offers several facilities to the hours of teaching;

1) In the virtual world, can be constructed in…

How Many Ways?

II have a list of 97 ways that children spelt a word. All right, the word was a bit tricky but anyway is always reminds me of how you can interpret the world in different ways. Spelling may be complicated but what about facts. You know things like on Earth the sun shines during the day. How many different ways can you interpret that fact?

Why not pick your own “fact” and think about ways to interpret it? And why not separate logical from illogical suggestions. . .…

How to "6 Thinking Hats" or "TOLOPOSOGO"

I recently have read books "6 thinking hats" and "Teach yourself to Think" by Edward de bono,These are good books and has taught me a lot,I requires a lot of practise to master the methods,

What i would like to point out is with what i have understood from the books is a Effective & Organized way to approach a desired solution which is something "NEW or CREATIVE" or Exploring Possibilities.

How would one use the Methods in "6 Thinking hats or TOLOPOSOGO" to the routines…

Thinking Request

In March 1980, the oil rig the Alexander Keilland sank with the loss of 123 lives. At the time I was on a derrick barge not far from the scene. Part of the problem was that the rig listed before sinking, meaning that the lifeboats were unusable on two sides. On reading about the Costa Concordia this week and how the lifeboats were unable to be launched because of listing, one of my thoughts was “31 years later and this is still happening?”

So the area of focus is: how to have…

Creativity and Music

"You sing into the app, it listens to what you are singing, and it composes music to match. Our goal is to make music expression as ubiquitous as social expression," says Chordia.

What sort of music would you sing? And what sort of music would you listen to to get inspiration?

What do you think is examples of creative music? And why?

What about…

What Is Thinking?

As someone else said in a different discussion, some of the best thinking is done aloud

That made me wonder about the form of Thinking: Does it have only one form or may it be aloud? - If so, is a picture/painting or a piece of music Thinking?

Life Is A Bowl Of Petunias

Humanity completely overlooked one of the greatest analogies ever when it skipped by the concept that Life is "a bowl of petunias"

I don't know anyone who has any more idea about petunias than they do about Life ... and vice versa - The best you'll get out of them is "They're a kind of flower, aren't they?"

So, Life really is a bowl of petunias, when you stop and think about it - Nobody knows what it is or what it's for, but it's probably quite pretty, with a…

On the Internet, Speech isn't free

Even when you aren't paying for it what you can say is limited by material constraints: The 140 character limit, for instance, exists because the service provider has determined that that is the limit they must impose in order for the network to cope physically with the load and for any requisite long-term storage [1]

Even something as intangible as words become constrained by the physical realm on the Internet - And the physical realm is a finite resource ... and, therefore, your…

Recursion Is it's Own Reward

Thisis exactly what goes on in my mind when I look around me, from the moment I wake up to the moment I next wake up [1] - I hope it's the same for other people as well ... It's wonderful : D

It's the multidimensionality of my experience that I found it portrayed really well, I think - The fact that things are simultaneously on more than one scale ... in more than one dimension ... more than one…

People Can't Memorise Computer Industry Acronyms

Definition of ONOMATOPOEIA from Merriam Webster online dictionary

1: the naming of a thing or action by a vocal imitation of the sound associated with it (as buzz, hiss)

In other words, they are words that sound like the the things they describe - So, the word 'burp', for instance, sounds like a burp

Is there a word for acronyms that are described by the words that make them up?

E.g. What words, beginning with 'r', 'a', and 'w' describe the meaning of the…

Mass Murder For, If Not Fun, At Least Profit

Does the elimination of a gene from a population constitute genocide? - Can genocide be pre-emptive?

PO Monsanto is committing pre-emptive genocide on an ongoing basis - Can genocide be committed against flora or only fauna .. or even only sentient beings?

PO the elimination of the gene(s) responsible for some condition deemed undesirable is pre-emptive genocide - What if Stephen Hawking had never been born?

Grim Fairy Tales

In a non-static particulate universe obeying the laws of Physics, 'ownership' is a fairy tale fantasy we tell ourselves to block out the terrifying truth that we will die one day

Original Small Talk

I've worked for a long time to make small talk meaningful. From my experience, even standing in line in a supermarket talking to others can be a fascinating experience, if one of us can figure out what we have to offer each other in the time we have together to spend now.

What I look for in others to…
