i am after advice please.i have just realised that my 7year old nephew is a natural lateral thinker..i am not sure what is the best thing for his parents to do about it.As i now gather it is not ideal for british boys to be like this.I can understand him but his father cannot and this is obviously causing them problems,anyone with any ideas would be welcome,thanksSee More

i am after advice please.i have just realised that my 7year old nephew is a natural lateral thinker..i am not sure what is the best thing for his parents to do about it.As i now gather it is not ideal for british boys to be like this.I can understand him but his father cannot and this is obviously causing them problems,anyone with any ideas would be welcome,thanks

can anyone out there let me know if lateral thinking has anything to do with these people who can instinctively rub and massage little boys heads.who have behaviour problems,to make them feel better?

You're definitely in the right place to find out more about how the way you naturally think has some correlations in de Bono's educational techniques. One of the benefits that helped me from de Bono's work is I was able to explain my motives to others about how and why I was coming up with ideas...and invite them to play with me. Before that, people would misunderstand my motives about my lateral ideas as if I was trying to derail their goals.
