Collaborative Mind Mapping

Posted on April 9, 2012 at 18:34 19 Comments

Goal of Achievement or GOA:

Developing a simple process that anyone can use who is familiar with 6 Hat Thinking to do group mind mapping.

Simple mapping to start with and build a gradient to increase complexity with simplicity in mind.

Ah, sweet paradox isn't it?

I am in communication with some motivated people (2 women) who are not yet familiar with mind mapping nor the 6 Hats.

How would I start to work with them in this kind of digital canvas?

Working with…

Natural Green Hat Thinker

Finishing reading the first De Bone book, Six Hat Thinking,

The realization was easy and simple: I am a natural Green Hat thinker. Now I wonder if other DBS members declared their personality in terms of the 6 Hats. If so, what are the benefits of meeting up as such? IE: Would other natural GH Thinkers have a good meeting of the mind or would it turn into a way too diversified meeting where not much would be done?

How about compatibility? The previous hats showed pairs: WH-RH,…

Book Review Present & Future

Posted on March 26, 2012 at 5:00 1 Comment

After all, there are numerous types of books and since my book selection is very heavy on textbooks and how-to books, I rarely choose a book for its entertainment value. Hence book reviews are almost irrelevant to me, especially after a fairly recent episode when I was reviewing…

Just read the discussion about CoRT. Well I can tell you this: I graduated (DIssertation available ont the net) on the effects and transfer of CoRT. And the results and conclusion are not only promising but also worth while. I think it is one of the best programmes there is. Moseley (2005) states in his book Frameworks for Thinking in which he compares the most used thinking methods, that CoRT is very useful (pg 133) especially for SEN kids.
