Large-scale innovation

Most blogs and books on innovation aim at the corporate level whereas creativity discussions are at the individual level. How about innovation at the national or regional level and how can government help foster sustainable innovative clusters?

Steven,

No, yet I must originate how to sell the need for it to students in order to teach it, which has a number of challenges.

F.M. Alexander was an actor who misunderstood his voice teachers, having struggled with asthma as a child.  His eager passion for oration (before microphones) pointed him toward a brick wall; he had to learn to surrender to get his transcendent goal to inspire with his voice. His life's work originated a way to surpass and redirect how he had learned to speak in a way that made him lose his voice onstage - so he could "not-do" it. Alexander Technique haas been described as "Westerner's Zen."

That was over a hundred years ago; the experience of his work is confoundedly fascinating; it gets people beyond their physical perceptual assumptions - and thinking follows suit. That's what keeps me interested.

After dipping into these links you gave me - all I can say is Wow! Why not do a blog post here about your work so others can access it and discuss it?  These are cool.

just wondering who might be interested to use my experience.

Glad I made sense enough to give instruction on posting your icon pic to have it work for you. But I do like the pic of you in front of the warehouse museum of clay soldiers the best...

Nice pics! Here is how to change the picture of your icon. While on your own page (under "my page" on the menu bar" hover the mouse over your own icon placeholder (or the photo you want to change.) You'll see "Change photo." Click on that, and it will send you to a page called "My Settings" At the top of that page, you'll see a button called "Choose file" next to the old pic or icon placeholder in the middle of the upper part of the page.
If you click on that button, it will open a dialog box of the file tree of your own computer. You must navigate to where your pictures are stored. Obviously, it helps to already know the file name of the picture you want to select. If possible, it's best to choose a picture that has been reduced in size.
Back to selecting the picture on your computer... highlight the file you want to select, then hit "Open" ...and now the file is selected. Down at the bottom of right corner of the "My Settings" page you'll see the "SAVE" button - hit that...and your picture should now be your icon!
If it isn't, this means that the picture file was too large. You need to use a different image manipulation program to reduce the size of the picture file. Many picture viewing programs allow you to drag the mouse into a frame and select and crop a portion of the picture, saving it as a more suitable and smaller file.
