When I was in the last year of high school I had the privilege of taking a geography course designed and taught by my father. It was not until many years after his death that I discovered his collection of de Bono books ( which I have since added to ). When asked to describe myself in one word, as part of my daughter's school assignment, I said creative. But on reflection I changed my mind and said resourceful. I tend to attribute creativity with something new or novel. Those ideas or images or actions that provoke an "ah ha" moment for me. On the other hand, being resourceful is the act of taking those original thoughts and rearranging them or reassigning to take advantage of them in some way that aides me or others.
