Profile Information

I have worked with Dr. Edward de Bono for more than fourteen years as his personal assistant. In the early years I travelled with Dr. de Bono and in latter years I worked for him from time to time, on various projects from home. In between these projects, I got married, built a house and raised my two boys. As any working mother will tell you, it’s a challenge! While the work and the kids don’t suffer particularly, I can tell you the house and the laundry does!

It has been a fantastic experience working for Edward it has opened my eyes to so many possibilities and helped me to challenge the status quo. It always amazes me for such clever people (human beings) how narrow minded we can be. How caught up in the practice of argument we become, always trying to prove ourselves right instead of working together.

I trained in Six Hats and Lateral Thinking, promising I would teach my kids without fail, but fail I did, I have recently resolved to fix that asap.

I often wonder how can we take such beautiful, bright young minds and mould them and shape them until we leave nothing to the imagination and no room for change? Why we do not have thinking skills in schools as part of the National Curriculum is so sad and something I vow to change!

I believe happiness lies in our ability to think!

Droughts in the Southwest and disappearing lakes in the Southeast of America, and increasingly arid areas in other parts of the world.

Australia is copping the rough end of the stick with respect to Global Warming - it never rains in their catchment areas any more; their cash-starved state govt. in New South Wales has just started building desalination plants and that's no solution because they only belch out CO2 and contribute further to Global Warming.

It's become so bad… Continue

Hi Linda - I like the improvement in the chat feature on the site. Thanks! Was that NING who did that, or did you arrange for that improvement?

In Africa there is a program to plant trees. I planted many trees. There isn't much grassy yard anymore around my house. This helps the Global Warming because it helps the CO2.

In August there will be people going to Washington, DC who are going to see the unveiling of Martin Luther King, Jr. I wanted to raise money to help people go. A few ideas have come along, but I am not sure I could do it.

Before I discovered lateral thinking I was a master of critical thinking. I could block any new idea from getting into my head with precise skill. That's why I don't get grumpy at those who don't get it, I've been there ;-)
