Some people who don't have any experience with html code want it SIMPLE.

It's very easy to use them, once you know how - just copy the line of code... and change the colors from the word "yellow" to the other colors - no spaces!

For instance this picture   is done by putting in this line of code into the sentence:

<img src="http://tinyurl.com/yellowhaticon"/>

Don't change any of the spaces or the characters, or it won't work. Make sure you copied the whole line, including the <>s. When you're posting, you can check to see if it worked correctly by hitting the "html" button in the top of the text box, (the last button.) So you can just copy each line:

is this: <img src="http://tinyurl.com/blackhaticon"/>

is this: <img src="http://tinyurl.com/redhaticon"/>

is this:
<img src="http://tinyurl.com/greenhaticon"/>

is this:  <img src="http://tinyurl.com/whitehaticon"/>

With the Blue hat, you have to add the number 1 after the word "icon" So for this:

 would be: <img src="http://tinyurl.com/bluehaticon1" />

(Don't worry if the line of code breaks in another line. It will still work if you haven't changed anything.)

I want to see these little pictures when people talk about the Six Hats!

Hey!!!

What's wrong with Ted's official notation:

hH
hW
hY
hR
hG
hB

???

But, listen - why not. I love cute little html thingies so I'll play the game (if I remember!)
I bet you like unix too eh? ;)
Me? No, it wasn't unix that tempted me. I shut myself up while I was house-sitting for a month and taught myself to understand html code - and how to fix it when I left out a character.
I was replying to Kim and having a dig at his preferring text (hB, hY etc.) to pics. ;)

The hats can be used anywhere on the web too. I have used them in a number of other forums to both demonstrate the hats I was wearing when providing ideas and to request hat use.

I like piccies better than text.

It would be great to have the hats as standard smileys at web sites, that would make inserting them a simple point and click.

Oh yeah, I didn't think about that technique of gradual infiltration in other places. Thanks for seeding it... I'll have to suggest it in other places.

Thank you for that

. : A very helpful posting!

It doesn't seem to work on My Page after posting a comment.
