I can not point the finger at one or other, no one is guilty. I think they do it without realizing it. It may also happen to me. But I try to correct it.

Also, I think it is the intention of this group is a kind of corner where disagreements come to confess. In plan confessional.

For this reason, I have come to know that I disagree with certain habits that have some members to talk about things that have nothing to do with the discussions.

For me is no fun trying to read the comments that have been published about a specific topic. Please, if you want to talk about other things, do it elsewhere, please let clean space in the debates, and that comments are specifically designed to offer something to the central theme.

Well I just joined this group. The title refers to disagreements and different points of view. Not sure if the disagreement is related to the company. Anyway I'll add my own disagreement with some behaviors that are seen in the publications of the members.

I disagree when members write too much on your comments and also go beyond the main topic.
For example, suppose you write a comment that comes to emotions, and dedicate my comment talk about a dream I had last night, or I'm not comfortable in my desk chair ... etc.

To me this slows the understanding of the comments. Sometimes it is quite difficult to delve into the issues, some members comments overload their arguments that are isolated from the main theme. Lead nowhere and above tend to distort.

question any authority(implied or stated) cui bono, who, when , where, how, why, how much, in what way specifically to get to a lie-to-a truth continuum gray thinking. (thanks to dr micheal hewitt-gleeson)

Most of the disagreements had no links to the posts;-) At least no logical or lateral link!

Just pure disagreement for the sake of , well, I do not. . . well, I have lots of theories. . .

With my tongue placed firmly in my cheek I strongly disagree with a place like this.

I think the best place for disagreements is in the context of the posts of each discussion. But I suppose it is another way of categorizing posts.

Hey Dennis, aren't you supposed to disagree with me on this thread?

:o)

Dennis, one of the basic ideas of the Dialogue style of David Bohm is that if the conversation is allowed to go anywhere and be free to roam, interesting points of value to the participants come up. Each participant gleans a different value, obviously.

In this case, Adonis seems to have uncovered a "taboo" about how psychic intuitive abilities are generally labeled as being emotional drivel by the scientific and medical communities. Even when a researcher with the corresponding degrees and methods does research in this field, they risk their subject being rejected by peers who have this perception, They also risk being rejected by their peers in general and personally discredited for any further research on ANY
other topic.

Of course, this has probably come from the history of attempting to pull science away from being "magic" into some sort of respectability. This is also the reason for degrees, awards, etc. that prove public recognition.

In a way, status, titles, degrees and awards seems to answer the question: "Why should I believe what you say?"

Is what you say "fact" or purely "opinion" ?

Not to be cheeky or personal, but it's an interesting question in general. Anyone can broadcast their opinion on the internet - and even remain anonymous and completely obscure - or impersonate another.

Yes, good point about how the psychic or intuitive ability is "taboo" with the science-based devotees of our culture. Many people are actively fascinated with the unknown quality of it though, despite the nature of the taboo.

Always wanted to go to Santorini...  a psychic, (with no prior knowledge of the coincidences of my upbringing) told me details of my supposed former life in the Minoan Crete. Would going there jog reincarnate memories...?

A no-brainer that any building would need to be earthquake proofed... But this is doable.

I agree it is misleading and exclusive.
Wonder if anyone has decided the status of joining the club is worth the membership dues? Well, we could always make an offer, after the club expires from lack of interest. What if we offered one million of something else?
