LOL, welcome back. I thought you had left the society. Glad to know that. I felt a little guilty.
I have assumed a role in this society too interested in the organization. I think I'm obsessed. I think I'll relax a little the vein of my organization.

Thanks for accepting my forgiveness. I also accept your apology.

"it is obvious that if we are in a network of Edward de Bono, the content of the network in question should be about their jobs."

I don't see that the one follows from the other - It might appear 'obvious' to some, but not to others

To me it seems obvious that the site is for the discussion of dBT AND of the results of both dBT and just 'lateral' or creative thinking per se - dBT is a pragmatic approach with Real World application at the core of its very purpose and to insist that the site be for the purpose of one aspect only seems not only counterproductive, but, ultimately, fruitless: dBT thinkers are busy doing things not seconding motions to act immediately and EdB himself did not get where he is today by talking about writing his books, but by actually writing them

Likewise, therefore, to my mind, this site is a place for practically creative thought of any kind whatsoever - Some of it may even relate to dBT and its methodology

"There are many websites that deal with creative thought."

Yes ... and this is one of them :)

"For me, a pirate of ideas, is someone who only hacerca you for your interest."

If their intent is actually steal others' ideas solely for profit then I can understand the annoyance of those of us whose ideas are stolen

Again, however, the pragmatist sees the World as it is, accepts it and acts accordingly ... by not sharing such ideas on a public forum - Changing the World for the better is a laudable ideal ... and my most fervent dream is to be instrumental in that process myself ... but being blind to its current realities is not a good example of dBT, which consists of all six hats, not merely the green one :)

"On your last comment, I not understand this expression "fucking retards". But I guess meaning"

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/retard <-> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_retardation

"If your reaction is because of my comment, I ask forgiveness publicly. When I went I got the red hat and was fuming of anger I had. I went with my negative emotions and started to shoot.

LOL Sorry."

Apology accepted - Thankyou

Please accept my own apology for the same behaviour in response

Luis

Thanks, Luis : )

And ... as ever ... you express a satisfyingly balanced opinion that compares and contrasts the various factors - All we need to do now is elect you President : )

"Here" pieden find a project to re-label the content of this society.

Change the thinking of what it is, to what can be ... I think we're seeing what may be a mistake .. A total chaos, disorder and nonsense that makes the job more difficult and costly.
Maybe, putting the yellow hat, I can take the positives from this experience, instead of learning about the Change creativity, I have learned about the note important role that has the blue hat.

Maybe they were right the famous three Greeks, What he calls in the form of ridicule, band of the three. If estubieran alive and could defend themselves, would dawn.

I LOL, I have not followed the directions to the letter, it is obvious that if we are in a network of Edward de Bono, the content of the network in question should be about their jobs.
There are many websites that deal with creative thought.
In the early days also started a contest where the winners could meet Edward de Bono in person, but I am still waiting to happen. Therefore, use more common sense.

Of course, I will not discuss which of them is right.

What to steal ideas, is a manner of speaking, simply an expression. For me, a pirate of ideas, is someone who only hacerca you for your interest.

I am aware that here we are publishing ideas for free. No need to remind me, but thanks anyway.

On your last comment, I not understand this expression "fucking retards". But I guess meaning...
If your reaction is because of my comment, I ask forgiveness publicly. When I went I got the red hat and was fuming of anger I had. I went with my negative emotions and started to shoot.

LOL Sorry.

Do not mistake someone's silence for a lack of interest or a lack of attention

"People think that I'm quiet because I'm shy, but really I've been silently judging them from afar and determining that they're all fucking retards."

It's not that I am trying to suggest that an order be imposed, but that time be taken to reflect upon how effectively ideas can be transmitted if everyone talks at the same time, so to speak

There will be as many different takes on what an online/web forum is as there are people who use them, but, to my mind, the best analogy is that of them being a space in which people act, because it adheres to Occam's Razor by being scalable back to the very technology upon which they are based - Namely computers

Meetings take place in spaces, at which people talk, but a chairman is there to ensure that the topic in hand is not strayed too far from ... or for too long ... lest the benefit of the meeting and the discussion that takes place be lost amidst the chaos of everyone pursuing their own private conversations

EdB makes clear that dBT excercise should be tightly constrained temporally for that very purpose: To focus the thinking on the thinking tool being used rather than on the distracting results of its use - Again, there is a chairman ... or trainer in such cases ... to ensure that the point of the excercise is not lost

I'm a fast, avid and voracious reader myself, but I still find thirteen pages of discussion ... fascinating, elucidating and fun though it may be ... simply too much to cope with, let alone thirteen discussions of similar nature

What about those people who are not as keen on reading as me?

Kim

Thanks, as ever, for your encouragement, Kim

I do indeed enjoy the time I spend here, but, as I've previously explained, my life is busy and getting busier all the time, so I simply can't dedicate as much time to being here as I might like

And be in no doubt as to the fact that the anger that can give rise to action is still there, but I try to keep it positive, so I don't always deliver my ideas with necessarily the full force that is behind them - Hence why I go in for darkly twisted humour as a vehicle for presenting certain concepts less aggressively

Juan

The mission statement of this site ... on the home page ... for all to see is:

"To harness the synergies of creative thinkers and to offer them a forum to contribute to, comment on and chat online with like-minded people.

Changing thinking from the 'what is' to the what can be."

It does not say "This society is to practice the tools of Edward de Bono. Online participation. It is a place of training."

That is merely one thing that people can ... and do ... do here, not all they may do here

Whether the debates I start are 'silly' and 'do not matter in this society' is a matter of opinion - You are entitled to yours ... but it is your opinion only ... and at this time only [1]

As for my stealing ideas ...

Did you actually think about that before you wrote it?

You even say yourself, in the same breath almost, that I start many debates, so, clearly ... by your own admission ... I have more than enough ideas of my own to need to steal those of others

And, as it happens, I really do have far more ideas of my own than the ones I post here ... more than I know what to do with ... to need to steal from others

Moreover, how does one steal an idea?

Unless the person with the idea keeps silent about it then it is not ... at least not the best of my knowledge ... possible for me to steal their ideas unless I break into somewhere and steal their written notes

Otherwise that person freely gave their idea to anyone and everyone who was listening at the time and it cannot, therefore, be stolen by anyone

Furthermore, I'm not at all sure that this site is one on which people should be concerned about ideas being stolen: Not only would such people not be discussing their ideas on an open forum in the first place, but it is that the complete opposite of the whole dBT approach - You can't have Green Hat thinking, if you're not prepared to give your ideas away to anyone who wants to make use of them

[1] There may well come a day when you .. or someone else ... is of a different opinion about some of them

The member "LOL ", has recently been a victim of website disorder. The same debate has created two days ago. He thought they already had created before, but could not find it ... Blessed creative disorder, right?. I now river of creative disorder.

Here you have a real sample of what the website disorder. People get bored, tired and finally leaves. LOL member is a good example. Is throwing in the towel, as some members.

As to the question of the member LOL. It seems a very fustrada question. Discussions have commented on the Greek gods, poetry ... etc?.

There are many debates initiated by you, of silly issues and have not received a single comment. That's a sign that you're talking about things that do not matter in this society. But it is better not to stop for a moment to think about it, right?. Better to messing up society.

This society is to practice the tools of Edward de Bono. Online participation. It is a place of training.

Most members do not want to do or a minimum of effort to improve the site.
I think that the attitude with which they come and participate, is the number one cause of the disorder here.

They come just to have fun. It's normal not bother to organize anything. For them, this society is an outcast web where from time to time can log on and see if they can steal the idea from someone else. Or laugh a little about the comments of others.

These people seem more pirates of ideas that creative thinkers.

We need members organized and responsible, to participate actively in society. No pirates of ideas.

You are of this type of users who just want this website to steal content?.
Are you a pirate ideas?.

It is the amount of money that is the issue.

Adonis, first think we need to ask those responsible for this WebSite, to provide us a clue to this Web site is secure, which will remain open for much longer. We should not make any effort to improve it, without knowing it.
I prefer to have a safe place where I know there is no risk of losing all my participation. Where the content is ordered and the WebSite can motivate members to participate.

This WebSite is programmed by the technology of "Ning".
When this WebSite was created, "Ning" was free. Since last summer about "Ning" has become a place of payment.
This threatens to one day, without warning, this place is gone. And all content that has been posted here, be erased forever, unless we do something before.

You think, Edward de Bono will be maintained economically a WebSite which does not participate nor visit?.
Perhaps Edward de Bono is still not aware of that is keeping this place with his own money.

I think either I or someone else has suggested this at least once;-)
Why not try do make at least two different sections. One with news and social contributions and one where, if necessary you pay £.X for joining, people can ask questions about how to grow as a thinker using de Bono's ideas. Could also be a third section where you have poetry, paintings, design etc as the focus for the blog posts etc.
