I am actively looking for 6 hats colored like the deBone 6 Hats. At least I will be prepared to have it on and if the facilitator detects a departure form the given color /thinking direction then it can serve as an instant reminder. Now visualize this for a moment: Those who would participate in regular and the spontaneous discussions were to war the hats also.... it would not only be funny but a good branding the DBS forum, would it not be?

Thank you for pointing out my total mistake that is due to no I did not read any of his books yet. I only got introduce to his work via 6 Hats Mind Map templates and Google search that landed me here. So not DEBATE rather than DISCUSSION, BRAINSTORMING and TOTAL deBONO approach for discussion. I can play the newcomer role (fits me well) and others can weigh in to facilitate the discussion. So if a point of view on FB Functions are representing a different view from mine, we are not debating it, rather I got for mapping the different views under different hats. How is that for plan of action?

I have a tentative “date” with one of you and while waiting on the response if this date via Skype is going to be a One-on-One debate, I am learning from its new possibility and make an open invitation:
Anyone individual or group, anytime via Skype is/are welcome to start a debate. Such debate is recorded and will be published via YouTube. I am proposing public listing of the debate so we can popularize DBS to bring in more people. Furthermore I am proposing a regular debate, maybe a weekly review of deBono concepts. Hummm this line of thought is starting to wake me up just as I was about to sign off and go sleep.

Your message at first reading produced 16 block of thoughts on my end.
Responding to them individually in this linear writing style would take me over an hour and if I were to aim for quality words and sentence structure creation: potentially hours.
Since I cannot allocate this kind of time into writing, I did the best reply format I could: I createdthis vlog and even that came to be 14 minutes or so. That is also a liner communication experience, so enter at your own discretion. Really the best method to discuss this would be via Skpe that I record both ways and put it up for reference here for those who wish to look it up or simple settle for the conclusions.
Consider this an open invitation and I am happy to pick up the threads at any topic whenever you are ready. For that I keep the map for reference to serve us as a dynamic reference tool.
(Compare this to a letter that would force us to go thought it line by line… ouch. Once I learned to map my thoughts, linear writings is like forcing a racehorse to walk for rest of his life….)
If you give me your email address, I can send invitation to the map location and that is an open invitation to anyone interested in to plug in. The way it can turn out is this: Your thoughts on FB Mapping project is now mapped and anyone can put his or her thoughts to it. When (if) you and I are going to have a Skype discussion, I can bring up the screen on my computer for you to see and jump to any of the 16 thoughts in any order to discuss. We might even see other's thought process there. I know Luis will have his thoughts there when he catches up withhis work that now he is being overwhelemd by. Till next time. Z

I have to weigh in here. What is the point of spending my time essentially working for FB, mapping out their functionality? I want to spend less time in front of the computer, not more, mostly because I can understand now after having a round of visitors during Spring Break how many things that I do that require sitting is not doing much for my physical or emotional health. I regard FB as a spot to find out what other people are doing all in one place, when I want to go there. But if I spend too much time there, I am not going to be doing anything interesting enough to report about. I'm not impressed with Timeline. If I want to put aspects of my personal life online, I'd rather use my own website and blogs rather than use FB or Google Plus. Granted, I do want to stay in touch with people I already know as well as communicate with colleagues corresponding to my various interests. That said, I do not enjoy that FB is becoming yet another billboard for salesmanship or politics. One good things about FB is it has taken the place of those who want to send me jokes, etc. by email and spread my email address to spammers.

When I first jumped on Twitter, I really enjoyed that there were actual conversations going on - but I never met anyone in person that I "met" on Twitter. Now with automated tweeting, etc. Twitter has become merely a forum for advertising oneself or one's favorite cause or other event. Once I got up to around seven hundred followers, people stopped talking to me personally and started to use me as a means to get followers. This made me become vastly uninterested in Twitter, whereas before I was really enjoying it.

It's upsetting too that FB will be used as a convenient means of spying on a person's life that will be used once it exists in variously twisted ways. Especially after hearing how job applicants say their prospective employer required their FB password! So - anyone who falls for the idea that FB is a great place for one's memoirs is building a land mine that will explode at a later time.

I have a personal blog with two hundred posts on it, as well as a blog here and on other forums. Pretty much, nobody is interested in reading because they don't have time. Why should they be interested in reading whatever I want to put on FB....? Because it's delivered in shorter bytes? Sorry, but I think in long form. It's ironic that I've had colleagues contact me on FB and apologize for actually having a conversation with me.

New Feature: FB Pages now Timeline enabled! I am attending the
free webinar on March 2 at 10 a.m. PT, entitled “Timeline for Brands: How to Make the Switch,” further outlining best practices for brands in transitioning to Facebook’s new Timeline format.

Reflection on my favorite feature, hence my focus point to explore: Timeline.

Luis, for the records, and future reference of others, would you post here a list of Mind Mapping software or a link to some comparison chart of them you like the most?

Mapping out the entire FB functionality would truly call for team effort considering the pay we all pull on this project. Alternatively we can just focus on a single functionality at a time, perhaps each of us can focus on their favorite functionality?
Either ways, we are likely to benefit from bouncing back ideas and I take the approach for now to reflect on my favorite function: TimeLine. Will happy to accommodate which ever approach you see fit your time track and interest.
If you want me to build your visual map of your favorite Function and exploration of it, just say so and I am happy to do so. However I am hoping that you make an attempt to make your own since these maps are like art, so your personality best reflected on your own creation.
