I would like five cents for every time I have had to listen to a Headmaster or a Deputy Head or a Head of Department, or a Dean of Studies drone on about the mission statement of "this school to realise the magnificent and as yet untapped potential in each and every one of your sons and daughters, to sow the fertile ground upon which the dreams of new generations might as yet take root and grow; to protect, nurture and encourage the selfhood that springs in each and every one of us even as we sleep, and to bring to maturity and confident readiness, the souls of the innocent made strong in virtue and all this through the grace of our dear Lord Jesus Christ."
So, tell me - you don't think that education lives up to its skill with adjectives?
