If you're not familiar with how this forum works, you can ask about it here. If someone answers you about how to work a feature on this website, you can copy their helpful answer here too.

As we collect some of these responses, later they'll be assembled in the future into a more comprehensive (and easier to find) FAQ. But for now - ask away and someone else will come up with a helpful suggestion!

One of the first really useful things to change when you arrive here is a feature under "Settings." Have an email sent to you when someone replies to a thread you're interested in. This helps for remembering to return and participate further.

To do this, you go to "settings" (over on the upper right side of this page.) Then you'll be at a page where you can change your profile settings, like upload a picture of yourself, etc.  The place to have yourself get an email is over on the left side list - "email" under the heading "My Settings".  Then you'll see a list where you can choose in what situations you'd like to send yourself a notification email.

Some members can write their state. Short texts that include the options "comment" and "I like".

Example;

I try to write but I get nothing.

It takes a special application?
I have to take account of twiter?

Sorry I have not been here to help. I am answering now. No, you do not need Twitter to do an update like this.
Perhaps something is wrong with the update feature for you?
There are two different pages where the update can be written. Can you try both of them?
1: on the first main page, the section "latest activity" there is a box to write this update.
2: another place to update will be on "my page."
In each way to update, you must first click in the box to get a blinking cursor, then after writing your update, hit the button that says "Share." If you write too many words, it will not allow the update to happen. So make it short.

Thanks Franis. Found what was wrong. In the configuration of my profile, I had not selected the box.

Thanks for finding how to solve the problem Juan. You're very observant.

Honestly I'm not very motivated. I think we're doing activities that do not concern us here .. If members do not want to organize, why should we organize the rest ?...

Also I think there is not much more to say to about ning functions.
And I do not like the existence of many open threads that talk about the same.

Besides, I'm not entirely sure, but this place will expire on ... October
6, 2012

!!!

 This may mean the end of the bono society. The
elimination of this place
.

Why will this place expire on October 6 this year? How do you "know this"?

visit here; whois

I had a suspicion ...;

-"If Edward de Bono believes that social networks make people more stupid and lazy, why is maintaining social network? .."-

It is a question I left unanswered. I could not understand that Edward de Bono fall into that contradiction. On the one hand he takes the liberty of saying these things, while the other, is paying a social network.

Find out why. The reasons are as follows;

1) The creator of this place "Sean Kirwan," is almost 3 years without participating.

2) Edward de Bono is also not involved.

3) Who will maintain this economic network?

(With three tracks, I think is quite reasonable to think that when this place expires, the society also..)

Yes, this is probably correct. Save the threads you believe are valuable, because unlike free blog space, this site will not be around forever.
