Well that or something like a wiki. I have been noticing many members providing useful ideas and pdfs that need to be collected and catalogued somewhere rather than being lost in some post somewhere.

For example I uploaded a series of six hat icons for people to use in their posts such as http://tinyurl.com/greenhaticon and Dobilas Allanas has created many useful pdf files cataloguing the CoRT tools and so on.

Yes, I'd love to see your hat icons integrated into the emoticons here on this site. There's a way to upload new sets of custom icons, isn't there?
A special forum that only allows one or two members to make entries to would work. Those members would be tasked with putting minimal entries that link to resources. This would not allow easy categorising though.

What about special resource tags: resource_6hats, resource_CoRT and so on. Then attach those tags to posts that link the pdfs and images etc?
Another possibility is to set up a page similar to the podcasts or press pages, with resource links. Again updating these would be the responsibility of administrators rather than a cooperative thing as with a wiki.
