Would my simple computer simulation of the human mind qualify as brain research?

My program is very simple and is (relatively) very powerful. Its very data oriented. If I had enough data in it. it could do many of the thinking tasks I could do. hmmm

Links are asymmetrical and a valid connection is found when a circle has been connected. A light bulb goes on and bingo. I found it pretty exciting that I got it to work.

Its very good at answering questions, calculations, etc. but dumb at creativity.
It only knows what it knows.

Like the real human mind.

I like to distinguish between "brain research" and "mind research". The former sounds like you are dealing with study of the brain's anatomy and physiology etc. I'm more interested in mind research, including the process of thinking, though still taking into account how the physical brain works.
