All 6 Hats or not?
I was introduced to sequencing of 6 Hats first through a mobile App and then later some graphics, suggesting that certain situations calls for certain sequences of the 6 hats but these sequences rarely (if ever) contains all hats. Yet I am reading my first De Bone book the Six Thinking Hats (1985 edition) and on page 85 it is stated that all six hats need to be used to make the system work.
Can you enlighten me about this seemingly contradictory instruction / situation?

I am a quick, self-directed learner. You are a trainer. What I am hearing is that I need someone to tell me how to THINK the De Bono way. ... I am reading yes. I put up POs to see who is interested to engage in practice.
One way or another I will learn. If it is a trainer, great. If other ways, so be it. The ability to "do something" requires the data. This far the data seem to be contradicting but I am no stranger to paradoxes. I actually live there ;-)
So if you have an explanation then try me. If it is only for sale, fine say it.

Well then, here is how the Hungarian celebrate Easter: We take two bottles of liquids with us:
1: Bottle of perfume
2: Bottle of pressurized carbon water with a trigger release
We go to house to house and ask for the women of the household to show themselves.
Depending who comes out (Pretty or not so pretty –Young or older) we use one of these two bottles after we recited a poem. Now put on your Green Hat and figure out which bottle to which group of women.
Clue: We get paid doing this. The more original the poem is the better. (So we all work to write poems since this day a year can be lucrative for young men!)
Rest for the 364 days the year we eat. It does not mean that we don’t eat on Easter, sure we do. But my memories of the old country and old customs is not about food, but about pretty women and lots of hem. The answer for above state question: Older women get the perfume since they got the money. Young pretty ones we soak them and if get there early enough and they are still in light night clothes, when you soak her…. Visual is what we live for…. Talking about teenager years when no TV and Internet carried the all too common sexually explicit data. Back in the 1970s behind the iron curtain we had this experience to live for: Soak them and look ---- Yes, I do remember some of the poems too. And if you wonder what the husbands / fathers had to say about all these? They were busy visiting other households doing the same thing…. Fun time but an era log gone now. I wonder what custom would be the next that replaces the old with a new that is constructive and productive. How customs being established? IMHO Big Business is asking these questions in board rooms with highly trained 6 hat expert, right?
Happy Easter to all those who celebrate it and if my trip down history lane is right: Isn't this holiday has something to do with Jesus risen? Stories do change, aren't they? But some remains unchanged ;-)

Thank you for your feedback Dennis. Already learned more about the hats (RH for 30 sec only :) and the answer to my main question: All 6 or not? I also appreciate the fact that being flexible is essential and let others contribute the way they know best. Yet, trying to apply Blue Hat as much as possible.
I hope to find groups where the 6 Hat Thinking is actively used. Apparently here at DBS mapping is not widely used or at least not being shared in the open. if you are aware of an open forum where I can practice it, please let me know.
